Vice detective Bob Hightower faces a tragedy when his ex-wife is murdered and his daughter is kidnapped by a cult. Frustrated by the slow progress of the official investigation, he decides to leave the police force to find the culprits on his own. He infiltrates the cult to track down its leader, Cyrus, with the help of the only female victim who managed to escape, Case Hardin. The former police officer, now unrecognizable, is determined to do whatever it takes to save his daughter, while Case seeks to reclaim her strength and destroy the cult.
