Set in the late 1960s, the story follows Jean Seberg, an iconic actress and symbol of the French New Wave, as she returns to Los Angeles, where new roles and success await her. However, her romance with a leader of the Black Panther Party draws the attention of the FBI, which begins to surveil her. As a result, Jean finds herself under constant scrutiny from the authorities, threatening both her career and personal life. The film is based on true events and reflects the tense atmosphere of the era.
