Deloris Van Cartier returns to a struggling Catholic school to assist teachers with unruly students. Disguised as a music teacher, she faces uninterested pupils who constantly joke around. Deloris aims to inspire them to engage in learning. The school is at risk of closure due to a local authority official. The nuns and students unite to save the institution and rekindle their passion for music.
