Lenny Nero, a former policeman, has transitioned into the underground trade of selling memories in a dystopian future. He offers clients the chance to experience the emotions and past lives of others through digital recordings. However, he has a strict rule against dealing with death recordings. On New Year's Eve, Lenny receives a mysterious disc that captures the horrific death of a woman he knows. This event reignites his detective instincts, leading him to investigate the circumstances of the murder while navigating the dangers of the underground world.
