In this film, Catherine Deneuve plays the role of the vampire Miriam, who roams the nightclubs of Manhattan in search of fresh blood. Her partner, John, portrayed by David Bowie, has lived with her for two centuries but suddenly begins to age. In search of a solution to his problem, he turns to Dr. Sarah Roberts, a researcher studying the mechanisms of aging.
