Их задача — вырастить детей из эмбрионов и сделать их атеистами. Однако их миссия сталкивается с угрозой, когда появляется религиозный орден Митраиков. Сюжет исследует конфликты между верой и наукой.

The series is set in the future, in 2145. Earth is in the midst of a war between believers and atheists. Two androids, Mother and Father, arrive on the planet Kepler-22b. Their mission is to raise children from embryos and turn them into atheists. However, their task is threatened by the arrival of the Mithraic, a religious order. The plot explores the conflicts between faith and science.
