Лев Алекс, зебра Марти, жираф Мелман и бегемотиха Глория решают сбежать с острова. В результате случайности они оказываются в Африке, где Алекс встречает свою семью, с которой был разлучен в детстве. Life on Madagascar proves to be full of dangers for the animals accustomed to the comforts of the New York zoo. Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo decide to escape the island. By chance, they end up in Africa, where Alex reunites with his family, separated from him since childhood. He realizes that after living in the zoo, he has much less in common with his relatives than he had hoped for.
