The sequel to the 1999 comedy continues the story of Paul Vitti, the mafia's godfather, who is in prison and needs the help of his analyst Dr. Ben Sobel. As Vitti prepares for his release, Sobel faces his own issues related to inheriting the family business and dealing with stress. After Vitti's release, he attempts to adapt to life outside of the mafia, including working on television, where he consults on shows about the mafia.
